Notice to Customers supplying their own material
NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS WHO ARE SUPPLYING THEIR OWN MATERIALS FOR FLOOR STORE TO INSTALL

IF YOU ARE HAVING THE FLOOR STORE INSTALL MATERIALS FOR YOU THAT YOU ARE SUPPLYING, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Labor [installation] is something that The Floor Store must provide for its customers because the products that we sell usually need installation and we are a full service retail store that pays its bills from sales... labor alone just pays labor costs.
If we have agreed to install some materials for you that we are not supplying to you, it's most likely because we have done some other work for you where we did supply the material, or you are otherwise a regular customer and happen to have something on hand that needs installation. If you are having something shipped in from another source, please have it on the job site and at room temperatures prior to our installers arrival [especially in cold weather.] In the event that you must ship materials to The Floor Store, please make sure that your supplier is aware of our store hours (Tuesday through Friday, 9-4 and Sat from 9-12) and that the shipper must call us ahead of time [like the day before] if he expects help from The Floor Store with unloading. Please allow The Floor Store to have some input on roll sizes and delivery timing before setting up the delivery. We do not have a loading dock with 24 hour unloading service, we have a green pick-up truck marked The Floor Store that all of our deliveries get unloaded upon. It is located across the street from our store, next to the Police Station. If we have already quoted a price for installation of materials that we would supply, and you have instead brought in materials from another source, be aware that our labor charges change when we are not supplying materials. Also please know that there are handling charges for receiving and delivering materials that we are not supplying. Most labor charges are 35% higher when we do not supply materials. Handling and delivery charges will vary, but an example would be $1.00/sq yd for carpeting and sheet vinyl. The Floor Store cannot be responsible for shipping delays when we are not supplying materials. There are down charges for delays in installation that we cannot control once installation days have been set. Ideally, the safest results for installation occur when installation dates are set after the arrival of the materials. We are not responsible for your freight charges from the shipping company. That should be taken care of either by you or the company you are buying your merchandise from prior to delivery.
***Lastly, IN ORDER FOR THE FLOOR STORE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY FOR YOUR MERCHANDISE, we will need the exact specifications on the material (Manufacturer, style, color, sizes and correlating numbers) PRIOR to accepting your delivery, in order for us to sign for your material and ensure what was shipped to us is indeed what you have ordered. We also MUST have your paperwork in order (signature and deposit) prior to accepting your material.***
